GoZero Kayak Race and Paddle Rally

The GoZero Kayak Race and Paddle Rally is a kayaking event on the Hudson River in Beacon, NY. This event happens every September since 2005. GoZero is for all kayakers, canoeists, stand up paddlers and rowers who want to join friends and other paddlers for a full day of fun on the water in the mid Hudson Valley of New York State. Cash prizes are awarded for the top finishers in the nine mile long race. Kayaking gear is awarded for the top finishers in the two mile short race. The Paddle Raly component of the event is for non-competitive paddlers who want to join the excitement and paddle with other outdoor enthusiasts on the Hudson River for a nine mile paddle around Bannerman's Castle, part of the Hudson Highlands State Park.

After a day of paddling join us at the paddlers party sponsored by Long Dock Associates, Scenic Hudson, Adirondack Creamery, The Piggy Bank Southern BBQ Restaurant and Long Trail Brewery from Vermont.

Racing in GoZero is a great way to train for paddling in longer races, such as the Mayor's Cup Kayak Race around Manhattan Island in October.

Beacon is located about 15 miles north of Cold Spring and across the river from Newburgh.
